The distributor does not contain breaker points or a condenser, these parts are replaced by a reluctor and magnetic pick-up unit. The Chrysler Electronic Ignition System consists of a special pulse-sending distributor, an electronic control unit, a two-element ballast resistor, and special ignition coil.
